Non-Harassment Policy

This policy applies to all employees of bp Floater Staffing Inc. This includes all in-house as well as off-site employees be they temporary, part-time, full-time or contract.

Objective
It is the company's objective to ensure a positive work environment where all employees are treated with dignity and respect, free of harassment in any form.

Definition
Unwelcome offensive or objectionable conduct, comments, gestures, displays or contact intended to embarrass or humiliate may be defined as personal harassment.

Discrimination based on age, race or ancestry, colour, physical appearance, religion, physical or mental disabilities, marital status, sexual orientation or sex may be deemed as personal harassment.

The improper use of authority may also be defined as personal harassment. These may include acts such as intimidation, threats, blackmail or coercion.

Procedure
If a complaint of personal harassment is to be considered, a written statement must be submitted directly and in person to a member of the Floater Staffing leadership team. It is the responsibility of Floater Staffing management to conduct informal investigations provided the allegation doesn't fall under the criminal code. These investigations shall be completed without undue delay.

If appropriate, a formal complaint may be submitted to the Alberta Human Rights Commission or submitted to the police as they may be covered under the criminal code.
