Senior Metallurgical Engineer

We are currently seeking a high caliber Senior Metallufgical Engineer to work on a contract basis, based in Vancouver. You will be working for one of the world's leading engineering, procurement and construction companies
JOB DESCRIPTION
Candidate must be able to perform engineering in all project phases of process design.
The Metallurgical engineer will focus on the Mining and Metals industry.
The successful candidate will be working closely with client engineers. Work activities may include:
Running process simulations
Preparing heat and material balances
Developing PFDs and P&IDs
Preparing equipment data sheets, instrumentation data sheets, equipment lists, line lists
Participating in a variety of design reviews
BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS
The ability to supervise a group of junior and intermediate level process engineers engaged in the above mentioned tasks
Must be able to prepare schedules and develop labour hour budgets
Must have an engineering degree and 15+ years of process engineering experience
Technical knowledge in Comminution, Beneficiation including Flotation, Solid/Liquid Separation, Heep Leach, SX/EW, Roasting, POX, CILICP
A combination of EPC and Operating experience is preferred
